My spouse owns a private property that is fully paid. If we want to buy another condo under my name to avoid the ABSD, will the TDSR be calculated based on my income only or our joint income?

TDSR will be calculated based on your income only since you will be the sole owner. No ABSD is applicable if you do not own any other residential property. I am contactable at 97432395  for further discussion.

1. TDSR will be determined solely based on your income as the sole owner.
If you are Singaporean and do not own any other residential property, you will not be subject to ABSD.

2. Before shortlisting project/unit, I will suggest to check your in principal approval of your loan from banker.

5% Cash = $50,000
20% Cash/CPF = $200,000

TDSR is based on the borrower's income. If your spouse is not a co-owner of the condo, then only your income will be assessed for the loan since non-owner cannot be borrower.
