Hi Aman,

There is plenty of 1 bedroom private apartment available for sale, however, the price tag will be easily above $550,000, with most of them between $600,000 to $700,000. For foreigners looking to purchase a private residential home in Singapore, there will be an additional buyer's stamp duty of 20% on top of a normal buyer's stamp duty of between 3-4% of the purchase price.

Hi Aman,

As a foreigner, you will incur 20% Additional Stamp Duty on top of the usual 3% Stamp Duty. The downpayment on the property will be 25%, assuming you get the maximum 75% financing.

Based on your $300,000 budget, you can opt for a property up to around $600K if you are able to take the 75% loan. There are some 1 bedroom condos within the $600K option.
