My mum who is married with a singaporean and her husband owns a HDB flat, would like to know if I can still purchase a HDB flat with my mothers name and my name. I am singaporean citizens and my mum is a PR.
Her name is not in the owner or co owner, she’s only the occupier.

Good afternoon q,

your mom is married thus if you wish to buy a HDB with her, you will need to include her hubby cause they considered a family nucleus (single entity).
If not you will have to buy under single scheme if able to do so.

Hope my sharing helps in aiding in your enquiry. May I know how can I value add further in your property needs?

Best regards,

Hi,

Yes, you can. However, her husband will have to be the essential occupier of the flat you purchase with your Mother, and then dispose off the flat latest within 6 months upon your HDB purchase.

Alternatively, if you're above age 35, you will be able to purchase under your sole name under Single Scheme.

I am experienced and well-versed in both HDB and private transactions. I will be able to assist you in your property plans. Please get in touch with me for a more in-depth discussion.

Should you need require further assistance in matters relating to property, please contact me at my mobile 9748 6305  . I will be happy to assess and share with you the possibilities for you in the current market.

Thank you.

Best regards,

Hi,

1) In the eyes of the HDB, every married couple is considered as a single entity.
2) In all applications for the HDB flat purchase, married couples have to include their spouse in the application.
3) Your mum's spouse already owns an HDB flat therefore you are not able to joint name with her to purchase a resale or BTO flat.
4) You either have to wait till 35 yrs old to apply under the Single Citizen scheme or joint name with your spouse to form a family nucleus to purchase an HDB flat.

Hope the above answer to your main concerns, but if there are more query, please feel free to contact me at 90110636  , or email: ling.ck7@gmail.com if more information is needed.
I'll be glad to assist.

Best regards

Hi
Unfortunately you could not do so unless your dad disposes off his flat. HDB strictly maintains a one couple, one flat policy despite your mom is only an occupier to the flat. I am specialised in HDB transactions. Do contact me at 93375051  for a free and non obligatory discussion on this.
