My MOP of my current flat is Jan 2016. If I would like to sell away the flat and buy a condo such as Riverbank,
1. when is the earliest I can purchase the condo?
2. within how many months must I sell my flat to avoid ABSD?

Hi,

you have to meet your MOP before you are eligible to book any other form of housing such as condo. Thanks and hope to be able to assist when the date nears in 2016.

Hi,

The earliest you can purchase your condo is after Jan 2016 unless you write in to HDB to appeal.

You would have to pay ABSD unless you sell your HDB first.

The only way to get back your ABSD is if your condo purchase is your matrimonial home and you would have to sell your HDB within 6 months of collecting your keys to your condo. Any other cases you would have to write in to IRAS to appeal.

Morning,

Since your MOP can only be fulfilled in Jan 2016, you can only sign the S&P upon the very day, provided you does not / have not applied to rent out the entire unit. If you can provide the OTP for the sales of your HDB within 6 months from key collection of your condo, you can then apply for ABSD remission.
