My husband and I are looking to get a 4 room flat within this year. I am 27 and he is 30, both working, with gross monthly income around 7k. I am a Singaporean and he's a SPR from Malaysia. I wish to check if he owns a terraced house in Ipoh(for his family's stay, house bought 3 years ago). Can we still buy a flat in SG? (regardless is it BTO or resale flat...)

Hi Kimi,

Yes, you may still buy a flat in SG, but as your husband currently own a house in Malaysia, he will have to sell his house there within 6 mths upon geeting the keys.

One way he can do is to transfer his name to his parent's or sibling's, and once this is done, both of you can start looking for your dream home here. Apply the HLE prior to commit any unit.

I would be glad to serve both of you in looking for your HDB. Please feel free to drop me an email or call me directly for further discussion.

Thank you & Best Regards

Hi there, both of you can only buy resale flat. Not qualify for BTO as your hubby is a SPR. Feel free to contact me should you require any assistance.
