Morning,

To purchase resale HDB unit in SG, you must sell away your private property within 6 months from key collection. To purchase BTO unit, you are not allowed to possess any private property.

Hi,

You wont be able to apply for a BTO flat unless you intend to go for resale HDB but you still have to dispose any private properties (be it in Singapore or overseas) within 6 months.

Hi,

If you are seriously considering BTO unit, you will be able to do so 30 month after you have disposed your Private Property.

From HDB website :

"Ownership/Interest in Property in Singapore or Overseas other than HDB flats

You, your spouse, any occupiers listed in the Application Form or their spouses must not own or dispose or have an estate or interest in any other flat, house, building or land*
- Within 30 months before the date of application, and
- Between the application date and the date of taking possession of the flat

Or to consider a Resale HDB, but to dispose your overseas Property within 6 months upon possession of your HDB unit.

Or purchase a Private Property in Singapore without going through all these hassle within your financial health.
