My daughter would like to purchase her first private property.. however loan might be an issue. I myself already had 2 properties. Can I be her guarantor ? How much loan will she be getting? Will it be base on me or jus her?? What about stamp duty? Or anything that I need to know or check? Thanks

Hi Ms Jean Tan, since you already have 2 properties, if you co-own the property with her, you will then be able to guarantee the loan, but in such a case ABSD and TDSR for you will be involved. You need to weigh the options. Let me do a detailed analysis for you so you may decide then. Contact me Read More

Hi Jean, Can I assume that even with 2 properties on hand, you have no issues in securing a home loan giving due consideration to the TDSR? Perhaps you may wish to furnish me with more finer details such that I am able to see if there is anyway out to assist you in the mentioned circumstances. Hi Ms Jean, There is no more guarantor for mortgage loan unless you are also the property owner. If your daughter is purchasing her first property, then there wont be additional buyer stamp duty (ABSD) (assuming she is a Singapore Citizen). If the property is solely under her name then only her income would be used for loan assessment, however there are still ways for increase loan amount.
