My current 5 room flat is a resales flat in Toh Guan area. Had been staying here for 6 yrs. This is our 2nd hdb loan. we purchase it at 467K. My wife current CPF is 59K and acured interest is 6K, balance OACPF left is abt 25K whereas mine CPF is 133K and acured interest is 15K and OACPF left is about 7K. With this scenario, do you think we can afford a condo or EC as we do not want to fork out any hard cash and we do not want to rent a place outside while waiting for the condo or EC. Please advise all GURU. Thanks

Hi,

It depends on your financing of your condo purchase, and this further depends on your age, credit and income profile at point of purchase. From the cpf balances, it appears your downpayment should be sufficient, if there are no minimum sum requirements. This also means your timeline needs to be managed carefully.
