level 4 n above for pool facing or higher level for non pool facing.

Hi Ms Veline,

It is a good idea to upgrade especially when you are at the peak of your earning power!

With your budget, there are quite a number of options in the vicinity of your current place. May I know do you have any particular area in mind that you are looking at?

For upgrading, there are few important considerations to take note:

1. Financial Planning - With good planning, you will be able to recycle the funds and CPF that you have utilized for your existing property and channel it towards your new home, minimizing the cash layout.

2. Time line Planning - You will be able to avoid paying Additional Buyer Stamp Duty (ABSD). Selling and buying process needs to be time properly so that there will be minimum disruption to you and also avoid the need for a temporary place to stay during the transition.

Good morning Veline,

The MOP for your HDB unit is in April 2018 which is around 8 more months from current date. You are only eligible for the second property after fulfilling your MOP. It would be good to understand your financial status and plan in advance but the execution will need to wait.
