Hey there!

Congrats on the successful transfer of your property to your mom. That's fantastic!

Yes, there are some confusion caused with the new Cooling Measure about the 15-month wait.

I have a suggestion for you. You can apply for the new HDB Flat Eligibility (HFE) letter. It's a new thing introduced by HDB on May 8th this year to make it easier for people like you who want to buy a flat.

Unlike the old system of HLE Letter, this new HFE letter is super helpful because it assesses your eligibility for buying a new or resale flat. It also checks if you can get CPF housing grants and HDB housing loans. The best part is that it simplifies the whole process and saves you from having to provide lots of documents because it uses your personal details from your SingPass to do the eligibility check.

So first do this preliminary check to see if you're eligible. Once you've done that, you can apply for the letter within 30 days.

Remember, the HFE letter is valid for six months, and you need it you submit your Option To Purchase (OTP) via resale application.
