Good morning,

Based on your current age, the concern would be how much loan you can get from the bank and how much is needed. If you are looking at small sized unit and your HDB allows you to get back sufficient fund, it might be a good time to move forward. Hence it will all boils down to the financial planning aspect.

Hi upgrader,

It's depend on the cash proceeds you can get for the HDB sale. Did you also mean there's $95k in your CPF OA?

As you're turning 55 soon, it also means you'd have to keep the minimum sum should you sell your HDB flat, so it might be a good time now to consider selling.

Will recommend to be prudent as you reaching 55 year old soon. As the HDB pricing drop faster vs private property. You will have to top up bigger amount of cash to upgrade.

Main concern is still the tenure of loan is 10 years and the amount of loan you are comfortable since you near retirement age already.
