Nobody can 100% accurately predict how much prices will drop or increase in the future. Whatever you have read in the news, it's very general. And it's past tense.
Over the same period of time, Property A can drop 20% in prices, while Property B can increase 10% in price during that same period. There is no fixed rules that both Properties A and B should drop and rise the exact same percentage.
