INCOME ELIGIBILITY FOR PURCHASE OF EC

May I know how is the average gross monthly household income calculated?

If husband's and wife's combined gross salary is more than $12,000 per month, will the average gross monthly household income be different for
(1) a married couple without kid &
(2) a married couple with a kid?

Please advise. Thank you!

Hi morning,

They will based it on gross monthly household income, and this average refers to the average of the last 3 months if you are fixed salary personnel. With or without children in the application, it does not matter. Thus, unfortunately, if your combined salaries are significantly higher than 12k/mth, then you are not eligible for EC.
