I'm single now ,

Long story short was that both of my parents Divorced after my elder sister (only sibling) passed away when I was 8, then living with my mom until she passed on in year 2015.
Though my father is the only living next of Kin but I have been alone now.

I would like to enquire if I am consider eligible to purchase what kind of housing (BTO or resale, how many rooms?) under the orphans scheme ,kindly advise me and thank you!

Hi

If you are above 35, you may purchase under singles scheme. If you are not yet 35, unfortunately you are not eligible to purchase under orphans scheme since your father is still around. However I knew of some that managed to successfully appeal to purchase under orphans scheme although only one of their parents was deceased just like yourself. From the circumstances you described, the chances of successful appeal is quite high. I am well versed in HDB transactions and can assist you to draft an appeal letter to HDB. To add on as a single orphan, below is the type of HDB flat you are eligible,
Below 35 years old: Only resale of any size
Above 35 years old: BTO/SBF 2 room flat in non mature estate area, Resale of any size
