The HDB sale price will be used to offset the outstanding loan, return your CPF utilized for housing and other agent and admin fees. The balance will be your sales proceeds.

With this sales proceeds, you will be able to purchase an EC with max 80% bank loan, depending on your income and age profile. Breakdown of 800K EC as follows:
5% cash
15% cpf
80% bank loan
3% stamp duties and legal fees.

As of current, do you have any EC launches in mind or are you just into browsing for something suitable? Based on your enquiry, you are looking to sell your HDB unit first, obtain the funds before settling down for the purchase, while getting a temporary shelter while waiting for it.
