Hi James,

You can probably make slight adjustments to consider purchasing resale units which is less than 5years such that you will be able to plan your timing of both transactions back to back if you have about 10% of the purchase price as cash upfront to facilitate this upgrading. Otherwise it will be inevitable for you to sell your HDB first and go on rental while your hunt for brand new condo commences for the finances to flow smoothly.
