I'm above 35yrs old and single. My parents had sold their 3rm HDB flat to me in 2000 and I had get HDB load. In 2003 I sold the flat back to them. My question is now I can only buy resale 3rm HDB flat? I thought of getting a studio apartment.

Morning Ong,

Yes, you are eligible to purchase resale HDB unit. But you might need to check if you are still eligible for housing grant and HDB loan as I'm not sure of your details on the purchase back in Year 2000. If you are refering to Studio Apartment from HDB, it's meant for the aging population, hence you are not eligible. If you are refering to private property, do feel free to contact me and I will try to assist you accordingly.

Morning ong,

one of the eligibility conditions in application for HDB studio apartment is that you must be at least 55 years old at the time of application which with this, you fail.

Thus resale HDB market might be your only choice at the moment.

I am quite curious on why do you assume you can buy 3RM HDB only? If you have the financial ability, you are well allowed to purchase bigger HDB, eg. 4RM or 5RM.

Do you have any concerns in mind? Maybe you can share with me thus I can further advise you.

Cheers!
