Hi,

Typically the Tenancy Agreement is still binding and needs to be fulfilled by the Tenant, when legally on contract its sold with Tenancy. However, there could be some form of discussion prior to executing the OTPcontract which deals with the tenancy agreement arrangements after the completion.

Initially we have decided to try to write to HDB for early sale but since it was only 3 months left, eventually we waited for another 3 months while we looked for our next property. All parties in the TA are obliged to fulfill all the terms of the contract.

Having said that, should all parties mutually agree to early termination, then there should not be a problem to terminate the lease based on consensus.
