If I intend to buy an Executive Condo that is less than 10 years old, and seller is selling it with existing tenancy, can I continue with the lease after purchasing it? Must I satisfy the MOP of 5 years?

Afternoon Alice,

An assignment and novation is required, to document the transfer of tenancy to you. Being a resale EC, it's considered as private property. The MOP is not applicable here but the seller stamp duty kicks in.
