If i found a HDB flat on sale through advertisement, contact the agent of the seller for viewing and intend to buy the property after viewing, must i be represented by another agent? Am i supposed to pay commission to the seller's agent if i have not engaged any agent? Can I do the paperwork myself and save on agent commission?

Morning Lin,

If you are aware and proficient on the procedures and paperwork, you can DIY the purchase and save money on the commission payable.

Hi Lin

For HDB sales, a seller agent cannot collect any fee from you as it will be deem as dual representation, and it is a serious offence.

Hence, you could DIY or engage an agent to represent you in order to save you the time and tons of paperwork which you may not be familiar with. Cheers!
