Hi,

Yes you must br eligible for one of the resale hdb buying scheme (likely public or single singapore citizen scheme) first. Thereafter, you have to sell your private condo within 6 months after key collection to resale HDB. Hope it clarifies, is there anything else I can assist further?

You can purchase a resale HDB or DBSS as a private property owner. Just that you have to sell off your private property within 6 months from completion date.

As you are currently holding onto private property, you will only be eligible to purchase resale HDB unit with bank loan, without the debarment period of 30 months. However, you will be required to sell off your current unit within 6 months of key collection to the HDB unit.
