You may apply for ABSD remission, but it depends on whether you co-own the properties with your spouse, and if at least one of you is a SC.

Good morning seller,

Its a HDB requirement for private property owners to sell off their unit within 6 months from resale HDB purchase.

As long as your household has at least 1 Singaporean, you dont have to pay ABSD.

If your household is SPR, you will have to be SPR for at least 3 years first before you are eligible. Furthermore you will be subject to 5% ABSD.

Hi,

It is a requirement to sell off your private property after getting the resale hdb. Whether ABSD can be refunded depends on the ownership status of the both sale & purchase. If you sell off the private property first, then purchase, ABSD can be avoided. Thanks and hope to assist with your housing plans further.

It's a requirement for you to remove your private property ownership within 6 months from key collection. If either you or the co-owner is SC, ABSD will not be payable during the purchase of HDB unit. Should both of you are SPR, 5% ABSD is still applicable.
