Hi,

With current market sentiment, it is better to sell first as it will take some time to secure a reasonable offer. With sale and purchase, it is important your timelines are managed carefully. Thanks and may I understand your housing requirements further so we can structure a marketing plan accordingly? Thanks and hope to have the opportunity to work with you.

Warm regards,

To add on, the official ruling is that you have to sell your Condo within 6 months of key collection to HDB. Thanks. Read More

Good day sir / madam .

Either way can be done .
Either way has its pros and cons .
More convenient if you buy hdb first so that you have enough time for hdb renovation , selling a vacant neat condo , etc and shift once only .
However , Easier on the pocket if you sell condo first before buying hdb unless your condo is fully paid and lots of cash in hand .
Kindly contact me for a no-obligations chat for your property needs .
My charges are 1% comm for exclusive selling rights to your property .

Morning,

I would say that we will need to work this out based on your financial standing. Do you need the funds from the sales to facilitate the purchase or you have enough funds to settle the 20% down payment upfront?

Do feel free to contact me for further discussion.

Dear sir/madam,

In both circumstances, you will either feel compelled to sell or purchase should you do either first as concern. Mike has pointed out an important aspect for your considerations. If you are financially sound to make the purchase first while taking that 6 months after you have collected your keys to the HDB to find the right buyer, perhaps you may look into doing both activities simultaneously, and react according to the situation accordingly, meaning should you find a buyer for your current condo first but yet to shortlist a HDB unit for purchase, you may wish to negotiate for an extended completion date to ensure that you have sufficient time to source a unit for purchase and get it ready for moving in before you vacate your existing condo unit.

Either way, having a proper advise along the way from a qualified and experienced salesperson will come in beneficial for you so that the most informed decision can be made.

Let me know if my team of consultants can come in to assist you in this assignment.
