I understand that a hdb owner is not eligible to rent a hdb unit as a tenant. On the contrary, I am currently a hdb tenant with a remaining 13 months lease, will I be eligible to purchase a hdb resale before my current lease has expired?

Hi,

1) As far as I'm aware there is no restriction for an HDB tenant to buy a resale HDB flat during the tenancy.
2) Thus you may plan your budget accordingly.
3) There is no penalty imposed from earlier termination of lease.
