I read that the new rule stated that the core applicants and core occupiers will be sharing the grants accordingly.

Does that mean the core occupiers will be receiving a portion of the grants once it’s been disbursed?

Will it be considered that the core occupiers be a Second Timer if they were to buy a house next time?

Grant disbursement is not to your pocket or bank account, it is used to offset the price of the home directly, and yes, you will be considered 2nd timer if you have received the housing grant. Read More

Hi,

Yes the grants are distributed between the core applicant and core occupant equally. If you are referring the CPF housing grant for first timers, yes both will be considered 2nd timer next time after obtaining this grant.

Hope the above clarifies. May I have more info and requirements about your plans so as to make better recommendations? Thanks and look forward to value-add to your housing plans.

Buyer Mr Wang & Ms Ng : We want to convey our thanks to Ivan, who helped us find our first home. Ivan was very responsive when we first met, and took time to understand our needs and requirements for our first home. He helped us narrow down our criteria and gave us good advice on how to structure our mortgage as well. He also made a great recommendation of an area we never thought of, and it was where we eventually bought our home. We appreciate Ivan's thoroughness in pros and cons of all our options that we viewed. We never felt pressured or rushed to make a decision. In fact, Ivan gave honest and useful inputs on the considerations of acting immediately or waiting. All in all, it was a very smooth experience and we ate very happy with the unit we bought. Thank you very much, Ivan! Read More

Hi,

1) Yes, the core (essential) occupier who is eligible for the grant will receive the amount in their CPF OA.
2) The essential occupier will be considered as a 2nd timer when they apply for the BTO.
3) They will also be liable for the resale levy even though they are not the owner of the current flat.
4) If the essential occupier is still the essential occupier for the BTO. They will still be liable to pay the resale levy.
5) Do note that the resale levy will need to be paid in cash.
