I plan to sell my condo and purchase resale HDB. My questions are:

1) Do i need to wait for 30mth after selling my condo before i am eligible to purchase resale HDB?

2) If the above answer is no, the selling of condo must be done within 6 mth of key collection?

Hi,

If you are purchasing resale HDB, you need not wait for 30 months after selling condo. You need to sell away your condo within 6 months after key collection to purchased resale HDB flat.

In current market it might take some time to secure a buyer. It would be ideal to do up some financial and timeline planning before making the next move. Afternoon,

If you are looking at purchase of resale HDB unit, you do not need to wait for 30 months. You can technically proceed with the purchase immediately. However, you will need to remove the condo ownership within 6 months from key collection of the HDB unit.

Yes. You NEED NOT wait out for the 30 months before purchasing a resale HDB. The 30 months period is only applicable for purchase of BTO.

However, I would recommend you to sell your condo first before purchasing a HDB flat. This is because under the current buyer's market condition, it may not be as easy to sell your condo and you will not want to be binded by the 6 months compulsory period to find a buyer.

There are a lot of available HDB units for sale in the market currently and therefore it is certainly easier to buy as compared to selling your condo.

You are not required to wait for 30 months to purchase a resale flat after dispose of the condo. If you choose to buy the hdb first, condo have to be sold within 6 months.
With the current market condition, it is advisable to sell the condo before buyer the hdb. Reason is it may take longer time to sell.

You do not need to wait 30 months if you're going for a HDB resale flat. You only need to wait out if you're applying for a subsidized flat (BTO / Sales of Balance / EC).

Also, you will need to dispose off your interest in your private property latest 6 months after the collection of keys to your HDB flat.
