i just sold my property last yr to clear my debts (nothing to do with loanshark) that has been hunting me for the past 5 yrs. right now i don't even have any single cent with me to buy a house. i've been to the HDB for appeal to get myself a new flat under HDB loan but was rejected due to the house (open market) i just sold. so how am i going to get a flat with no cash in my hand? can i asked the seller for some cash instead?

Afternoon,

BTO units are not for singles and getting cash back from seller, which is highly uncommon, is also illegal. To get resale unit without cash is possible but extremely hard.
You might have to settle with your parents or relative and start working from the base.
