Hi, I would be glad to have a discussion with you and to work out the proper financial calculation. Due to the weak market sentiment, it is advisable to dispose off your current unit first before you purchase the next and of course keeping in mind that you have no loan eligibility issue to go for a 4 room flat. At the same time, while your servicing agent is marketing your unit, viewing for the next purchase unit could be done concurrently.

Hi Owner,

You can do a contra, meaning selling and buying HDB at the same time, if you are taking HDB loan.
Otherwise, if is private bank loan, it can also be done with proper timing and execution of both deals. Extension of your current HDB is required, so you have 3 more months to renovate your new flat before shifting in.

As you are looking at a sale and purchase option, the most important aspect will be to ensure that you have the sufficient funds and means to finance the upgrade, especially when the mortgage restrictions in place now are strict and you will need to understand more about the cashflow aspect for such transactions.
