I have no income now and my wife is working. Our HDB has fulfilled MOP. We are looking to buy an EC. How should we go about it? Should we sell first then buy an EC, of should we buy EC and sell later?

Hi, you are making the right decision to move from HDB to EC/private at this point of time given the current market condition. Several things that you need to take note of: 1. Get an AIP from a bank to ensure that you will be getting the bank loan before committing in buying an EC 2. Have a calculation on your cash flow to ensure that you are ready and comfortable with the amount of cash needed 3. If the above are cleared, you will able to judge if you can (1) buy and then sell when the EC is completed OR (2) sell, rent, and then buy.
