i have intention to leave my 4 years job and begin aith another job. my fiance and i have plans to apply for resale and i will be applying for resale maybe 2/3 months once i begin the new job. can i have an advice on this?

What kind of advise are you looking out for? For loan wise, as long as you are able to furnish 12 months income statement, there should be no hiccups for this, and if you are looking at applying for housing grant, the requirement is similar.

Hi,
These days moving to a new job can be very challenging. As such, I would advise you to either apply for an HFE now using your present job or wait till you get the new job. You need to plan carefully. Also, your ROM cert got to be in place too. Google if in doubt.

Hi,

1) The HDB tabulate loan based on an average income for the 12-month period, which ends 2 months preceding the month of the HFE application.
2) For example, if you apply today (April 2026), the HDB will request for the payslip from 2025 Mar till 2026 Feb to determine your HDB loan amount.
3) So, unless there are no breaks between job switches. The differences will be minimum.
4) If there is a break, it is best to apply before leaving the current job. The no income month will reduce your loan substantially

Hi

They will take the most recent 12 months income slips, starting from 2 months before the HFE application, and average it out. They may choose not to approve as high a loan amount since its a new employment role being 3 months in. Typically will advise my clients not to do any major job change until after the property purchase is complete, unless the pay jump is significant and it helps you to access units with bigger price quantum purchase amount.
