I have engaged an agent to look for resale HDB flat but we haven't found any suitable flat yet. I have seen several advertisement online about some flats. I am quite confused about this agent commission payment. Am I right to say, no matter I contact the agent online (who represent the seller probably) or i get my own agent to contact them, I still need to pay, and only pay 1% of the val price? i.e. no unless it's a buyer to seller direct transaction ( like i buy from my neighbour etc), I need to pay 1% comm, to some agent, either the seller's one or mine?
