I have been looking for rental which I am targeting in early june to move in for a small family with a pet. Prior to so many agents I called, most didnt bother to reply sms or tell me to call back again,
Some even ask for commission when I said I self-represent myself.

I also ask about flexible leasing probably less than 1 year while waiting for my new condo, but to get rude responses from some agents.

Who should i feedback to ? CEA?

Dear tenant,

Yes, you are right. If you feel that any agents have misrepresented or done something against what we should be doing, your avenue to feedback is to the Council of Estates Agents.

Do equip yourself with evidence of such behavior or misconduct for it to be effective, otherwise there will unlikely be any case for the culprits to be penalised.

I wish you all the best in your rental search.

Hi, in every industry, there will be some bad eggs around and it is unfortunate that you have met them. As per what Geryl had mentioned, the only channel for you to make a complaint will be the CEA. And I wish you all the best.

Get the agent name, agency and HP, then email to the agency for internal disciplinary actions = 5minutes of your time.

If you are really really angry, then email to CEA and attached entire saga transcript and maybe CEA will impose some fine or warning to that agent = 30 minutes of your time

My advise will be just forget the whole matter as you probably are unlucky. Rogue agents like that are usually not successful and maybe they woke up on the wrong side of the bed when you called? Call me, let's have a cup of tea and share your sentiments... I'm a people's person ;-) Read More
