Hi,

May I know do you have any other debt obligations and what's a comfortable monthly mortgage amount to service in your opinion? For your scenario, you would have to go for private condo since only singles 35 and above can purchase resale HDB. Thanks and hope to discuss further so to value add to your housing plans.

Warm regards

Hi,

It's great to see that you are already thinking of buying a property as I would say the prime age is actually between 29 to 45 because you have many options available and you have more opportunities to create wealth earlier.

Based on what you have provided, a comfortable quantum should be around $750k. Based on this amount, 20% downpayment will work out to be $150k and Buyers' Stamp Duty is $17,100. Legal fee should cost around 2.5k.

Of course, it will also depends on the mortgage loan amount.

Today is a Buyers' Market and there is no lack of choices. But before you proceed, do feel free to speak to us first. It is very important to know the fundamentals of why you should be buying and how to analyse a property.

Your hard earned money you put in a property should be working harder for you and helping you to create wealth. Do allow me to share more with you about today's market and how to benefit from the current market situation.
