I have a 4R resale flat in Khatib purchased with my mother 7 years ago. My mom would like to let go of the flat and purchased another bigger resale flat alone without joining name with me. Is that possible? She has never bought directly from HDB before and she is a retiree

Afternoon Rachael,

If your mother is SC and have enough fundings, she's eligible for the upgrade as not many financial institute will be giving her sufficient mortgage loan to service the purchase.

Regards to your enquiries, if your mom are able to contribute full cash payment to the next upgrading property, there shall be no issue.

But if she will need to take up a loan, then I am afraid with her age and a retiree now, the bank will not facilitate the loan service to her.
