I had purchase a condo in mid 2007 near Tanjong Pagar area for investment. It has been rented out and lately the rental yield has increase from 4% to 5.7%. I thought of selling it to cash out the profit of $300k so that I can re-invest into 2 condos. It is wise to do that given that my current rental yield is good and condo prices are so high out there?

Hi L K,

Congratulations to you for making a wise decision back then on your investment. There are many different classes of thoughts on whether to cash out on your existing property now and using the profit made and re-invest in another 2 properties in search of better returns. Your current situation is like putting all eggs into 1 basket. If you are to cash out now and invest in another 2 properties, will you be required to take up any housing loans? Would you instead consider of investing into commercial or industrial properties, where in many cases, have better yield?
