I had been renting an apartment, sourced through this website, for the past 4 years. During the yearly tenancy renewal, the agent has been collecting commission from both the owner and me. Please advise if this is appropriate? Thank you.

Of course nope. It is deem as dual representation and it is an offence. You may like to have a look up under CEA website.

Afternoon Steve,

The CEA is formed in end 2011 and it have stated clearly that dual representation is against the CEA Act.
