I found a HDB resale unit online from property guru app and soon to decide on the purchase.
Q1: Do me, as the buyer, have to pay any agent fee in this case?
Q2: If Yes, then the fee is negotiable?
Q3: If No, then does the agent still need to support the entire transaction?

Morning ~!

Qn1) You can choose to if you require an agent to aid you through the buying process and ensuring that the deal goes through smoothly for you. You also have to negotiate on your own and settle the paperwork.

2) Fee is negotiable yes.

3) support in what sense? An agent is only eligible to represent one party in a transaction. If the agent is representing the seller, he/she cannot collect agent fees from you. Hope that helps.

Good morning,

Since you at DIY buyer, the seller agent is not liable for your paperwork and procedures that you need to perform. Hi,

If you require an agent to negotiate a good price and to ensure a smooth and hassle free process, its only fair to remunerate your appointed agent. What is in the CEA regulations is that one agent cannot represent 2 parties in a transaction.

Hi, you do not need to pay any commission to the seller agent as he is already collecting his from the seller and also the seller agent cannot collect commission from both party. But it would be advisable for you to engage an agent yourself, as to ensure a smooth and easy transaction throughout the entire process. Pls feel free to let me know if you need any assistance.

If you are a direct buyer who approaches the seller's agent directly, you dont have to pay any commission to him/ her as he/ she cannot dual represent both parties in a same transaction.
