I booked a 3NG resale flat in jurong west street 41 recently at 300k, 4th floor (this is the highest level) still waiting for valuation report. One thing that bugs me is the block orientation of the house, the slab 4 level block is facing east so this means main door is facing east, and kitchen facing west. The master bedrm is beside the kitchen so its window is facing west, the common window is facing east along with the living hall main door. the only saving grace is that there is taller blocks in the east and west direction and there is a unit to the north direction and a staircase to the south direction. I am a person who dislike a slightest bit of warmness and will turn on the aircon whenever i am in home. Do you think i should skip this unit altogether?

Afternoon Johnny,

During the purchase of resale unit, the buyer does have the option to choose, subjected to their budget and location preference. Since you have concern, it would then be good to speak to your agent and seek advice. From my point of view, to purchase something where there are certain issues that might bug you, it would be good to sit back and consider what is your actual purpose and requirement for the purchase.

Do feel free to contact me should you require my assistance.

Hi Johnny, you have not even move into your so called ^ Dream Home ^, and already you have so much dissatisfaction. I would advice that you let the option fee be forfeited and look for another unit instead. Just bear in mind that a housing is meant to be a long term stay and I'm sure you would want to be proud of your new purchase and that you called it Home.

Hi Johnny,

So why did you place the option to start with? I believe you'd have felt the sun (if you didn't have a compass) no matter what time you were there. Perhaps you should forgo the $1k and save on many years of misery ahead.
