As replied before. You can buy a resale HDB if both of you are SPR for at least 3 years and have to dispose off your overseas property within 6 months from resale HDB purchase completion date.
No such requirement needed if you guys opt to buy private condo or apartment.
Special approval from land dealings units under singapore land authority will be required if you are thinking of buying a landed tho.
Bear in mind that 5% additional buyer's stamp duty (ABSD) will be applicable for your first residential purchase in Singapore.
