Do take note that you can only ink on option to purchase (OTP) on or after you turn 35 years old.

I will feel that it's too early to start househunting soon perhaps 1 to 1.5 months will be sufficient.

If you are unable to secure your ideal unit due to ineligibilty to buy yet, it will be a waste of your time and effort.

Hope you understand.

As for the purchase process, strongly advise to apply bank or HDB loan so you can work out your budget with your finances on hand.

The whole process might take around 3 months.

After agreeing on price, gives $1k (kickstarts 3 weeks option period) and $120 for valuation. Another $4k to exercise within the 3 weeks. Submit resale submission application ($80). Once HDB approves the transaction, you can complete the whole transaction around 8 weeks.

(2) Financial planning is the most crucial, it is either make or break if inaccurate calculation was done.
(3) Grants available, if intend to apply for one.
(4) How to handle if there are extension from seller.
(5) Right location for the at least the next 5 years, with budget meets the market rate.
(6) Suggest you engage a profession before doing all the wrong move.
