I am single and preparing to buy my first property. Any advice if I should buy a resale HDB or go straight to buy private condo/resale EC? I am buying the property for own stay.

Morning Vivi,

This would be dependent on your preferred lifestyle, your middle to long term plan and financial status. Your age and marital status will also decide your range of options, when it comes to HDB.

Hi Vivi,

Min MOP (min occupation period) for resale HDB is 5 years whereas there is no MOP for private. G
ovt has been ramping up supply of BTO and prices of resale HDB in future will stabilise. In terms of capital appreciation, pte is still a better buy in my opinion.
