I am single and owner of a 3room HDB flat, fully paid. I have no siblings. Can I will my flat to a person of no blood relationships with me? Otherwise can a charitable organisation be the beneficiary?

Hi,

1) The best way of passing your property to a non-blood-related person or a charitable organization is the best way.
2) I would suggest you arrange with someone who you meet regularly to see that your will is properly executed, or inform your beneficiary over this.
3) The charity organization will not be able to hold on to your HDB flat but to sell it off once you passed on.
4) The person must not own an HDB flat or private residence in order to keep your flat as well.

Hi,

Yes, you could just engage a law firm and to do up a Will.
