Hi,

I think CPF or HDB will require you to return the grant with accrued interest upon the sale of your house, which means most likely from your sale cash proceeds. If there is some financial challenge, you may wish to consider to write in to appeal for a more favorable arrangement and see if can work out on installment basis. It will be assessed and subject to case by case basis review.
