Self-employed individuals usually provide their Notice of Assessment (NOA) or income tax documents, while employed individuals commonly submit pay slips.

2 months preceding the month of HFE letter application^

^ For example, if your HFE letter application is submitted in May 2023, the assessment period will be from Apr 2022 to Mar 2023.

Note:

You must be working at the point of the HFE letter application, for your income to be considered for an HDB housing loan and Enhanced CPF Housing Grant.

Applicant(s) taking an HDB housing loan must remain in their employment or trade when HDB disburses the housing loan.

Hi,

1) In general, your NOA will be used as the main assessment for the amount of loan you can get.
2) It is more convenient now as when you apply for the HFE (mandatory) it will retrieve your income via MYinfo.
3) The HDB will send you an SMS when there are more supporting documents needed.
4) The current MSR assessment is based on 12 months' income.
