Hi,

For 5 years old EC, only SC can be the owners and foreigners can't purchase. Hence this will be on sole ownership. The bank financing will be on your sole income as only owners of the property can be borrowers of the home loan.

You may purchase a 5 years EC solely without your wife (non citizen and Non PR) as a co-owner. You can only purchase jointly if your wife is at least a PR.
