Hi,

You can as long as the completion date of the resale EC is after 1st October and it usually takes 10 to 12 weeks after option has been exercised for the sales to complete. But please take note of the ABSD rule which applies for your 2nd property if you intend to hold on to your HDB.

Hi C,

you can request for a longer option period (normally its 2 weeks) probably 5 to 6 weeks from now thus you can exercise the option of purchasing the resale EC after your MOP date of 1st Oct.
