i am married with 1 kid of 8 years old. I am currently 43 years old and wants to buy a resale flat as a singaporean citizen, however since my husband is not financially savvy, i would like to check if the purchase of the resale flat can put my kid's name and my name only without my husband one.

    Why your answer is different from the other agents?
Hi,

You can put yourself as the main applicant, while your husband and son are the essential occupiers. This will mean you are legally the sole owner. However you will not be able to use your husband's CPF OA and his income for the loan amount application.

You can indicate yourself as the sole owner with your husband as the essential occupier instead of co-owner. This means that he will not have any financial contribution to the repayment of the HDB, even with CPF. The only consideration here is that he will need to endorse the sale of the property if ever you intend to sell.
