It normally takes 3 mths. But in some urgent cases, agreed upon by both seller and buyer, along with their lawyers, it can be done in shorter than 3 mths.

If you are planning to move in by March, and visiting in Nov/Dec 2015, it may be a good idea to actively find a unit during your visit.

There are cases where sellers, especially chinese families, do not really like to move house around lunar new year period.
there are several reasons, hard to find movers, busy with with lunar NY preparation, etc.

since you are visiting in Nov/Dec, i strongly suggest you take time to find a unit at that time.
