Afternoon Weikang,

If you are moving into resale HDB unit, you are not liable for levy. However, you will need to fulfill the MOP of your Yishun unit, understanding your financial standing (if you intend to get any mortgage loan) and establish the idea of where you intend to move to.

Hi Weikang,

As what my fellow professionals have pointed out, downgrading into a resale unit will not require you to pay any additional levy, but your MOP will be reset for the new purchase. Under the current lending regulations, it is important to also assess your financial options for the purchase to ensure that you have got all things in control financially for the downgrade.
