I am currently looking for hse at bedok and ubi area, i found that 3 rooms and 4 room flat price different is not much... i plan to rent out my extra room and get external income, which choice is better??? isit 4rooms hdb is the more valueble choice?

Afternoon Joey,

4 room HDB unit is more resistance to ups and downs of the market as it allow owners to upgrade or downgrade easily. However, with bigger unit, you will tend to lose out more on subsidises and possible rebates plus higher possible property tax. Such loses can easily be recovered with rental.
